Welcome to your Florida Kiwanis Foundation

Established on June 30, 1971, the Florida Kiwanis Foundation is dedicated to supporting the Youth of Florida.  One of the primary functions of the Foundation is to provide an Endowment toward which Kiwanis Clubs and individuals can contribute so together we can Leave a Legacy for the Children of Florida.The Foundation provides funding to support the Florida District Service Leadership Programs.  Approximately $45,500 each year is distributed to Key Club, CKI, Aktion, K-Kids, and Builders to support vital leadership training opportunities.Investing in our most precious resource, Florida’s Youth, the Foundation provides funding for Scholarships including the J. Walker Field Scholarship for members of Key Club and the George Langguth Scholarship for a Kiwanis Family member.

Recognizing the extraordinary service Kiwanis Clubs perform, the Foundation provides funding for Matching Grants and Mini Grants so Kiwanis Clubs can make a Kiwanis Difference in their communities.Combining the resources of the Florida Kiwanis Family, the Foundation enables all Kiwanians in Florida the opportunity to open their hearts in the spirit of giving to make a greater impact on the needs of children and families.

 Florida Kiwanis Foundation and Capital City Kiwanis Club Help Babies Sleep Safehealthy families

Tallahassee, Fla.- The Capital City Kiwanis Club and the Florida Kiwanis Foundation today joined Healthy Families Gadsden-Leon at the Brehon House to provide families with resources and education to encourage safe sleeping environments for infants. The resources and educational materials will be used as part of a safe-sleep project designed to influence parent behaviors to provide safe infant sleep.

This is the fourth year the Capital City Kiwanis Club has partnered with Healthy Families Florida to distribute safe-sleep resources to families in need. Capital City Kiwanis Club President Amber Tynan said, “Kiwanis Clubs are committed to supporting families and children in our communities. Parents want to do what’s best for their babies and when they know better, they can do better. Matching Grant to Woodland Hall Academy (WHA)

Woodland Hall Academy (WHA) staff and students were excited on April 14th to be presented a $4,tallahassee_foundation_grant500 matching grant check from Florida Kiwanis Foundation  which was added to the $4,500 that Northside Kiwanis Club had raised to assist the school in replacing a 12 year old copy machine.  WHA is a nonprofit school for bright students with dyslexia, ADHD,  and related learning differences which has served the Big Bend Area since 1975… { read more }
