Each September 11, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the first responders who serve our communities each day.
This Patriot Day, the Florida Kiwanis Foundation invites Kiwanis clubs, Service Leadership Programs, schools, and students across Florida to join us in a simple act of gratitude.
We’ve created a “Dear First Responders” thank-you page for young people to color and complete with a personal message. Once finished, deliver the notes to a local fire station, police department, EMS team, or other first responders in your community.
It doesn’t have to be a big project. One student can write one note, a classroom can create dozens, or an SLP can make it a service activity. What matters is taking a moment to say thank you.
For young people, it’s an opportunity to recognize service in their own communities. For our first responders, it’s a reminder that their dedication is seen and appreciated.
Download the Dear First Responders Thank-You Page, create your messages, and share your photos with us! We would love to see our Kiwanis family showing gratitude across Florida.
This Patriot Day, we remember, we honor, and we thank.
