This fund provides long-term funding for the service leadership programs, grants, scholarships, and more. The fund is an investment account managed by a financial planner with oversight by a board-appointed committee.

Gifts of $1,000.00 that result in Ralph Davis Fellow recognition, as well as all income derived from estate planning gifts of at least $5,000.00 with membership in the Florida Kiwanis Legacy Society, are designated by the Board of Trustees for the Endowment Fund.

Investment yields in excess of the percent set by the Board for grants programs also are applied to the growth of this Fund.

Your Legacy Is In Good Hands

The Florida Kiwanis Foundation has been a wonderful partner to our local Kiwanis Club. They understand the projects we are working on accomplishing and have been extremely helpful along the way. Knowing that we have another ally fighting for the betterment of children in our community makes being a Kiwanian even more rewarding!

– Alex R.

Over the past 47+ years of my Kiwanis membership, I have seen what the power of one can do. One organization, one district, one division, one club and most important one member. Yes, everyone has the power – to change the world.

I am proud to be serving the Florida Kiwanis Foundation. I am proud that because donors have cared that the Foundation is leaving a lasting impact on children not just for today, but well into the future

– Dan B.

I received a scholarship to community college when I was in high school that enabled me to go to college. I did not apply for the scholarship because I never thought I could go to college but the assistant principal gave my name to the Kiwanis Club. I never would have attended college without this scholarship and I went on to get additional degrees but Kiwanis was the one that made the difference.

Give back when you give through the florida kiwanis foundation

Below you’ll find all the ways you can make an impact on Floridians through your generosity.

Annual Club Gift Campaign

Are you familiar with, “ a little goes a long way”? This is the concept behind the development of the Annual Club Gift Campaign. This campaign requests every member within a Kiwanis Club to give $8.00 by December 31st. The funds themselves can be contributed from the Giving Kiwanis Club’s Service Account.

SUSTAINING MEMBERSHIP

As individuals, we are limited by time, resources, and reach but together, as a unified group of Kiwanians, we can do much more. With this philosophy in mind, our Sustaining Members giving program was created. It is because of YOU and your annual contributions that the Foundation can continue its work anew each year. Until such time as our endowment fund can fully provide all grant requests, the amount disbursed each year in the form of grants, leadership development programs, and scholarships must be raised over and over again. This is no easy task!

Sustaining Members contribute a minimum of $25 annually and the sum goes directly into our Grants Fund. None of these funds are used for operating expenses and they are exhausted each year! Your contributions have a DIRECT and IMMEDIATE impact on Florida’s children. Your dollar is getting used to the maximum, exactly where it counts. Now that’s more bounce for the ounce! Donate below or download a form to give today!

FRIENDS OF THE FOUNDATION

FKF is excited to release a new and inexpensive way to support the Foundation. For an annual gift of $120, given at once or through monthly increments using our easy payment plan available above on our website, the Friend of the Foundation member will receive a pin and will be entered into a quarterly drawing for travel prizes. This fund supports the overall FKF Foundation and programs.

LEGACY SOCIETY

The Florida Kiwanis Foundation established the Legacy Society to recognize and honor the generosity of those persons whose major gifts provide for the future of the Florida Kiwanis District through its foundation. Their gift truly creates a lasting legacy by continuing to help serve the world, one community, and one child at a time. Donations to the Legacy Society go directly to the endowment of $5,000 or more. Since only earnings are spent, your gift is truly everlasting.

ROBERT W. THAL FELLOWS

The Florida Kiwanis Foundation is proud to present the Robert W. Thal Fellowship to recognize outstanding individuals who share Robert’s lifelong dedication and service to the children of Florida. This program was created in homage and appreciation to his inspirational vision for a charitable foundation for the Florida District of Kiwanis. Robert W. Thal’s dream resulted in the creation of the Florida Kiwanis Foundation, which has ensured that Florida Service Leadership Clubs continue to have financial support to provide hands-on leadership training and development statewide.

Help to continue Robert W. Thal’s legacy and impact on Florida children by contributing a $500 donation. You may choose to enroll at our elite giving levels of diamond or double diamonds (for an additional $500 contribution). We are proud to recognize Sustaining Members as a Robert W. Thal Fellow after 20 years of contributing to Florida’s most important resource: our children!

RALPH DAVIS Fellows

This Fellowship is an elite group of super dedicated Kiwanians and friends to Kiwanis that have either donated $1000 or more to the endowment fund or so moved others to contribute $1000 or more in their name. Each Ralph Davis Fellow is given a serialized medallion to wear around their neck at Kiwanis functions, as well as a wall shadow box and a lapel pin. Additional contributions are noted as Diamond Level Ralph Davis awards and are so noted by the change in the color of the neck ribbon and the issuance of jewel embedded pins denoting the Diamond Level. Occasionally, matching donation programs cover part of the contribution. The funds go directly into the Endowment Fund to ensure a lasting legacy for the children. Income from the Endowment Fund is redistributed by way of grants to local clubs for project assistance.

THE WIL & RACHeL BLECHMAN FUND

Grants from this fund are to support Florida Kiwanis projects that will have a significant impact on children in the 0-5 age group based upon identified needs. Grant applications are approved in two separate cycles. Learn more about this program below.
